(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On May 11, at the multi-purpose gymnasium of Nguyen Du Primary School, Long Xuyen City, the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province held a closing ceremony and awarded prizes to the Literature - Math Contest for Primary School Students in An Giang province for 2024-2025 school year. Vice Chairwoman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy attended.
The Literature - Math Contest for Children is a new activity, organized for the first time by the Provincial Department of Education and Training to concretize the spirit of innovation in general education according to the orientation of developing students' capacity of the 2018 general education program.
The contest took place from May 9 to 11, with 11 teams representing 11 education and training units of districts, towns and cities in the province. Each team consisted of 10 outstanding 5th grade students. The teams took turns going through 3 contests, including an individual contest in the form of multiple choice questions for the relay contest and a tourism contest. The teams answered the math questions in English and the Vietnamese language in Vietnamese.
At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded 10 first prizes, 25 second prizes, 64 third prizes and 11 promising prizes to students with excellent achievements in the contest contents.
Regarding the collective award, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to the 5th grade student team of Tri Ton district, the second prize to the 5th grade student team of An Phu district and the 3 third prizes to the teams from Cho Moi, Chau Thanh and Phu Tan districts respectively./.
