The Thien Cam Son Lantern Festival attracted more than 20,000 attendees

(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the evening of March 7th, Mr. Ho Van Mung, Member of the Central Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, attended the 2nd Thien Cam Son Lantern Festival in 2026 in Nui Cam commune.

Also present were Mr. Le Van Phuoc, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and leaders of various provincial departments and agencies.

The Thien Cam Son Lantern Festival is jointly organized by the People's Committee of Nui Cam Commune and the Management Board of Cam Mount Tourist Area. The festival attracted more than 20,000 people, including local residents, Buddhists, and tourists from within and outside the province, who come to participate, worship, and offer prayers.

Activities include: lion and dragon dance performances; tours of the festival area; prayers for peace and the release of floating lanterns; and a comprehensive art program themed "Thien Cam Son: Echoes of the Festival".

In his opening remarks, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nui Cam Commune, Nguyen Hung Cuong, stated that the festival is organized to honor traditional cultural values, spread the spirit of community solidarity, and pray for "national prosperity, people's peace, and favorable weather." The illuminated lanterns symbolize faith, hope, and the connection between people and people, between people and nature.

According to Mr. Nguyen Hung Cuong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nui Cam Commune, the first edition of the festival has made a positive impression, contributing to promoting the image of spiritual and ecological tourism in the locality, while also boosting trade, services, and tourism activities, and contributing to improving the lives of the people.

In 2026, the locality will continue to implement socio-economic development goals according to the provincial resolution; while focusing on building a civilized, safe, and friendly tourism environment, associated with protecting the landscape and preserving traditional cultural identity.
