(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On April 21st, in Paris, Mr. Le Van Phuoc, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province, led a delegation to pay a courtesy call to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Viet Nam to France, Mr. Trinh Duc Hai. This was an activity of An Giang province on the occasion of joining the Vietnamese delegation to attend the 224th Session of the UNESCO Executive Board in France from April 19th to 25th.

Briefing the French Ambassador on the cooperation between An Giang and French partners across various sectors, Mr. Le Van Phuoc, Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee, expressed his hope that the Ambassador would act as a bridge to bolster partnerships between An Giang and French localities. Furthermore, the Vice Chairman proposed establishing direct flights between the Phu Quoc Special Zone and France to stimulate tourism and attract French visitors. He also requested continued French diplomatic support for the nomination of the Oc Eo - Ba The Archaeological Site (An Giang province) as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Speaking at the courtesy call, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Viet Nam to France, Mr. Trinh Duc Hai, expressed his delight and extended his greetings to the An Giang provincial delegation on their visit to the Vietnamese Embassy in France.

The Ambassador highly valued An Giang province’s efforts in investment attraction, healthcare, and tourism. He pledged to support and accompany the province in fostering cooperation with French partners across various sectors. Furthermore, the Ambassador committed to joining local authorities in diplomatic advocacy and supporting the nomination of the Oc Eo - Ba The Archaeological Site (An Giang province) as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Ambassador Trinh Duc Hai emphasized that the province should focus on creating unique and varied tourism experiences to drive visitor growth.
