Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung greeted the Ambassador of Turkey

(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On March 10, Central Committee member, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung hosted a courtesy meeting with a working delegation from the Turkish Embassy led by Ambassador Korhan Kemik.

At the courtesy meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung was pleased to welcome Ambassador Korhan Kemik and hoped that through this visit, with his support, An Giang province would have more opportunities to connect and cooperate with Turkish partners and businesses in the future.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung said that after the merger, An Giang province has the largest area and population in the Mekong Delta, with its population ranking third in the country. The province has recently focused on developing its strengths in marine economy, agricultural economy, and border economy.

In 2025, the province's GRDP growth rate reached around 8.4%, ranking first in the Mekong Delta region and among the highest-growing provinces in the country.

An Giang currently has 3 international border gates connecting to Cambodian provinces. Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone (in An Giang) has been chosen by Vietnamese leaders to host the APEC Summit 2027... 

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung hopes Ambassador Korhan Kemik will continue to support and facilitate connections between An Giang province's businesses and Turkish localities and enterprises to promote socio-economic development, particularly boosting export turnover.

Ambassador Korhan Kemik was pleased with the warm reception from An Giang province's leaders. He hopes An Giang and Turkey will have more effective cooperation in various fields in the future, continuing the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Turkey.
