Provincial Road 941 Project (extension section), a class-II traffic project, with the starting point of the project intersecting with the Long Xuyen City bypass; the end point intersecting with Provincial Road 941. The project is invested by An Giang Provincial Project Management Board, with a total project length of 10.942km, including 3 intersections (intersection with the Long Xuyen City bypass, intersection with the road to the waste treatment area, intersection with Provincial Road 941); 11 permanent reinforced concrete bridges; 10 box culverts, 5 reinforced concrete round culverts and other items on the route.

The total investment of the project is nearly 863.7 billion VND (720 billion VND from the central budget, the rest from the provincial budget). Of which, the contract value of package 19 for construction and installation of traffic roads and circular culverts has a contract value of 193 billion VND, to be constructed in 540 days.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc emphasized: The groundbreaking of Package No. 19 of Provincial Road 941 Project (extension section) is one of the important milestones and marks. After completion, it will contribute significantly to ensuring traffic safety and order, relieving traffic congestion on National Highway 91 through the inner city of Long Xuyen, An Chau town, Binh Hoa commune (Chau Thanh). In addition, the project also has an important meaning in developing and expanding urban space for Chau Thanh district, serving as a lever to promote socio-economic development and attract investment in An Giang province in the coming time.

Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc requested: Provincial departments, branches, and sectors, Long Xuyen City People's Committee, Chau Thanh District People's Committee continue to support and create favorable conditions for the Investor and construction contractor to implement and complete the project according to the set schedule. The Investor, construction contractor, supervision consultant, and design consultant must always uphold the sense of responsibility, work seriously, objectively, and effectively to implement the project to ensure quality, progress, environmental sanitation, and labor safety. During the implementation process, it is necessary to ensure publicity and transparency; resolutely prevent corruption, absolutely not allowing negativity, loss, waste, and group interests to occur. The Investor should urgently complete the procedures according to regulations to implement the remaining bidding packages of the project to implement synchronously, soon complete and put into operation, use effectively, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, and calling for investment in An Giang province in the coming time./.
