(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the morning of June 02, the Steering Committee for the Month of Action for Children and Summer Activities of Chau Doc City organized the Launching Ceremony of Summer Activities, the Month of Action for Children and the Summer Volunteer Campaign 2025, with the theme "Prioritizing resources to complete goals for children". Leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Committee, agencies, branches of the city, wards, communes and 600 students attended.
At the ceremony, 70 disadvantaged children received gifts on International Children's Day, June 01, from the budget of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city. The Standing Committee of the City Youth Union registered to carry out 2 youth projects in response to the Summer Volunteer Campaign, including: Solar energy lamp project (20 lamps placed in Vinh Nguon ward), medical examination for people in difficult circumstances, total value of 150 million VND.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of Chau Doc City People's Committee Huynh Buu Toan suggested promoting the dissemination of the Party's guidelines and the State's laws and policies on child protection, care and education, especially the implementation of the Law on Children; Synchronously deploy management and education activities for youth and children during the summer; organize recreational activities, create equal development opportunities for children. In addition, focusing resources on perfecting cultural institutions to serve the needs of youth and children; review and popularize swimming for children; focus on activities to guide life skills, self-protection, prevention and control of violence, child abuse, prevention and control of accidents, injuries and issues related to children, appropriate to the age, maturity and development level of children, minimizing cases of child abuse to the lowest level. /.
