(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the afternoon of November 11, a member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of An Giang People's Committee Ho Van Mung, along with a provincial delegation, attended the Great National Unity Day in Long Thi D Hamlet (Long Thanh Ward, Tan Chau Town) to commemorate the 94th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2024).
At the celebration, Chairman Ho Van Mung extended congratulations on the achievements of Long Thi D Hamlet residents and emphasized that national unity is an invaluable tradition of the people
The event highlighted the significant contributions of the Vietnam Fatherland Front over the past 94 years and celebrated achievements in the campaign "All People Unite to Build New Rural Areas and Urban Civilization" in 2024.
The Great National Unity Day holds significant meaning for residential communities, becoming a cherished tradition that honors the immense and enduring values of national unity.
In his speech, Chairman Ho Van Mung called on Party Committees, authorities, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, as well as the residents of Long Thi D Hamlet, to continue enhancing the effectiveness of the Front’s activities. He urged the practice and promotion of democracy, attentiveness to public concerns, and proactive efforts to address legitimate and pressing needs.
During the event, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Ho Van Mung, presented gifts to the collective of Long Thi D Hamlet and awarded 20 gift sets to exemplary cultural households in the hamlet. Additionally, the Tan Chau Town People’s Committee provided 20 gift sets to outstanding cultural households./.
