At the An Giang Provincial People's Committee's meeting point, representatives from relevant departments and agencies participated; online with the Phu Quoc Economic Zone Management Board.

The Phu Quoc Economic Zone Management Board was assigned by the Provincial People’s Committee to oversee 09 investment projects related to serving the APEC Conference, including: the Mixed-use Urban Area – Bai Dat Do; the Mixed-use Eco-tourism Urban Area at Ong Quan Mountain; the Cua Can Lake Water Plant (as the project is directly linked to Cua Can Lake); the Duong Dong 2 Water Plant (as the project is directly linked to Duong Dong Lake); the An Thoi Municipal Solid Waste Treatment Plant; the Bai Bon Waste Treatment Area (Ham Ninh); the Bai Bon Waste-to-Energy Plant (Ham Ninh); the centralized wastewater treatment plant in the An Thoi area; and the centralized wastewater treatment plant in the Duong Dong area. Up to now, most of the projects have completed investment preparation procedures; land has been allocated for implementation, and construction of several components has commenced in accordance with the schedule and regulations.

Following discussions among delegates attending the meeting, Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Trung Ho requested relevant departments and agencies to coordinate with investors, project owners, and localities to resolve difficulties and obstacles regarding administrative procedures, especially for projects related to the APEC Conference.

The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province requested the Phu Quoc Economic Zone Management Board to make every effort to ensure the timely and compliant implementation of projects.
