(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the afternoon of February 27, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung led the delegation to inspect the progress of the Provincial Theater project and survey the location of to place the An Giang Provincial symbol at Vam Cong (the section connecting to the Long Xuyen bypass). Accompanying the delegation were leaders of provincial departments and agencies, and Long Xuyen City People's Committee.
At the An Giang Theater construction project, My Quy ward, Long Xuyen city, reporting to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Director of the Management Board of Construction Investment Projects and Urban Development Areas of An Giang province Tran Minh Duc said: The project has a total construction floor area of 10,385m², with a total investment of 215 billion VND, from the provincial budget, implementation period: 2017 - 2023 and has been extended to the end of 2025. The progress of the An Giang Provincial Theater project has so far implemented 7/8 bid packages (including construction and equipment bid packages), of which 3/8 bid packages have been completed: Bid package No. 19a - Construction and installation of technical infrastructure outside the house, gates and fences; Bid package No. 22 (Substation construction) and Bid package No. 24 (Generator). The remaining bid packages are under construction, ahead of schedule. The entire project is expected to be completed and put into use in July 2025.
After investigation the progress, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung highly appreciated the contractor's efforts to complete the construction progress according to the plan. Thereby, he requested the contractor to continue construction to ensure progress and pay attention to labor safety during the construction process.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to study and develop a plan to organize the operating apparatus at the theater when it is put into operation in early August 2025. Activities associated with socio-economics, tourism, and trade and service development must ensure full utilization of its functions; study the exploitation of services at the theater, and prepare a special art program on the inauguration day.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to review the service land in Tay Song Hau Urban Area, study the investor's management and use of this land. Long Xuyen City People's Committee shall strengthen the management of urban order for the adjacent land and service land in the Tay Song Hau Urban Area.
Surveying the actual location of An Giang provincial logo at Vam Cong (the section connecting to Long Xuyen bypass), Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and Long Xuyen City People's Committee to review the border position adjacent to Can Tho City. An Giang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Department of Construction to research, find design experts, and implement the provincial logo at the border position, creating a highlight to distinguish the border of the two provinces.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee noted that the design of the logo needs to show the characteristics of An Giang to promote the image of An Giang province such as: That Son 7 mountains, rice plants, typical images of Uncle Ton's hometown... In addition to the logo, it is necessary to study the idea of putting the sentence "Come to An Giang fertile soil and An Giang eternal kindness people !” below the logo./.
