(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the afternoon of December 27, at Kien Giang College, the Final Round and Award Ceremony of the 5th Innovation and Startup Contest in An Giang Province, 2025, has been taken place. Kien Giang College was selected by the province as the host institution to organize the Innovation and Startup Contest in An Giang Province in 2025.

The final round of the contest featured 15 projects from 6 universities, colleges, and vocational schools in the province, including: Kien Giang College, Kien Giang University, An Giang Vocational School 1, Kien Giang Teacher Training College, Kien Giang Vocational College, and An Giang Vocational College. The innovative startup ideas and projects covered a diverse range of fields such as industry, agriculture, education, tourism, and information technology.
PhD. Le Trung Kien, Vice Rector of Kien Giang College, assessed this year's contest as high-quality, with many projects correctly identifying market and community issues, increasingly feasible solutions, and closely aligned with local strengths; the presentations were confident, coherent, and demonstrated thorough preparation and a proactive spirit. What is valuable is not just the awards, but the spirit of daring to think, daring to act, and the determination to pursue the path of entrepreneurship to the end.
Speaking at the awards ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of An Giang province, Mr. Le Quoc Cuong, emphasized that the 5th Innovation and Startup Contest in 2025 in An Giang province is a practical and meaningful activity that contributes to fostering the entrepreneurial spirit of students throughout the province; stimulating creativity, dynamic thinking, inspiring business ideas, and creating confidence and motivation for future entrepreneurship. At the same time, the contest creates momentum for the development of the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, especially among students – a young, dynamic, and ambitious intellectual workforce.
The Department of Science and Technology will continue to coordinate with departments, localities, educational institutions, and businesses to implement post-competition support activities such as project refinement consulting, expert networking, and facilitating access to provincial and central government programs and policies supporting innovative startups. Deputy Director of An Giang Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Mr. Le Quoc Cuong, hopes that the startup ideas of students will not stop at the awards, but will continue to develop, commercialize, and make practical contributions to the socio-economic development of the province.



At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to the Green Apps project from Kien Giang College; the second prize to two projects, Rotda – Smart Service Robot and Pineapple Paper, from Kien Giang University and An Giang 1 Vocational School; the third prize went to two projects, TaHi Air-Dried Buffalo and Banagut – Healthy from the Gut, Clean from Nature, from An Giang 1 Vocational School and Kien Giang University; the potential prize went to the farmer's noodle project made from durian peel; and the encouragement prize went to three projects: green foam, Ecocaf incense, and Tacatooth herbal toothpaste.
