(AG Provincial E-Portal) -On March 30th, in My Thoi ward, An Giang province, T&T Group held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Vam Cong Industrial Park infrastructure development project, covering nearly 200 hectares. This marks the beginning of the formation of a new generation industrial park oriented towards green, modern, multi-functional, and sustainable development in the Mekong Delta region.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Tien Hai, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Ho Van Mung, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee; Mrs. Tran Thi Thanh Huong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang Province; Vice Chairpeople of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong, Le Van Phuoc, and Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy were in attendance.

The Vam Cong Industrial Park infrastructure development project covers an area of 199.2 hectares with a total investment of VND 4,800 billion. It is located at the southeastern gateway of Long Xuyen city – an area with many advantages in terms of infrastructure connectivity and trade in An Giang province. The project is situated on both sides of the National Highway 91 bypass, an important ring road, facilitating convenient connection to the city center while ensuring a modern, sustainable industrial development space, separate from residential areas.
In particular, the industrial park boasts the advantage of multimodal connectivity with the inter-regional transportation infrastructure system. The project is only about 3.5 km from the Western North-South Expressway, connecting to the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway, opening up fast transportation corridors to Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Tran De Port and major economic centers.

Furthermore, the industrial park is directly connected to My Thoi Port – a crucial logistics hub on the Hau River with a capacity of approximately 1.5 million tons per year, thereby creating a clear advantage in transporting large volumes of goods at optimal costs. The project is directly connected to the international waterway transport system and effectively links with Can Tho International Airport (which is located 50-55 km away), helping to complete the multimodal transport network of the region.
With its advantageous and integrated road, waterway, and air connectivity, the project not only serves as a concentrated industrial production zone but also has the potential to become a crucial link in the region's goods transportation and distribution chain.
Notably, the industrial park is planned to develop according to the ECOTECH 21 model – an economy linked to ecology and 21st century high technology, which aims for a new generation of green, multi-functional industrial parks. The overall project is harmoniously organized between production, logistics, and ecological space, with nearly a quarter of the area dedicated to green spaces and water bodies, contributing to the creation of a sustainable production environment.

According to Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy General Director of T&T Group, the Vam Cong Industrial Park is one of T&T Group's key projects in the Mekong Delta region. It will serve as the gateway industrial park to Long Xuyen – a symbol of the shift from traditional agriculture to modern, high-value-added industry.
“With its strategic location, multimodal connectivity, and pioneering ECOTECH 21 model, T&T Group expects the Vam Cong Industrial Park to become a green manufacturing and modern logistics center for the region, contributing to promoting economic restructuring, enhancing the value of the supply chain, and making a practical contribution to the development of An Giang province as well as the Mekong Delta region in the new era,” emphasized the Deputy General Director of T&T Group.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ho Van Mung, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and determination of T&T Group Joint Stock Company in researching, proposing, and implementing the project.
At the same time, he commended the active coordination of the provincial departments, agencies, local authorities, and households within the project's affected area who have cooperated, facilitated, and assisted the investor in completing procedures related to planning, land, investment, land clearance, and construction permits…
Mr. Ho Van Mung, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, pointed that the Vam Cong Industrial Park Infrastructure Development Investment Project not only focuses on industrial land but also allocates a significant portion (over 30 hectares) for logistics services, along with a system of green spaces and water bodies accounting for more than 22% of the area.
The project aligns with An Giang province's socio-economic development orientation and priority investment areas for the period 2025-2030 and beyond. The implementation of this project concretizes Decision No. 890/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, aiming to build a modern and integrated industrial park. Once operational, the project will create new impetus for economic growth, provide employment for local workers, and attract more secondary investors to An Giang.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested T&T Group to focus resources and closely coordinate with contractors to ensure the progress of the approved project. During construction, strict compliance with legal regulations on land, investment and construction, labor safety, fire prevention and control, and especially environmental protection is required. The An Giang Provincial government is committed to continuing to lead and direct specialized agencies and the My Thoi Ward People's Committee to closely support the enterprise.
Relevant units should proactively monitor the situation, promptly resolve any arising obstacles, and create the most favorable conditions for investors to implement projects without interruption. To ensure a harmonious balance of interests, it is necessary to focus on linking economic development with social welfare in the project area, ensuring sustainable development for the surrounding community.

On this occasion, T&T Group donated nearly 1 billion VND to support 30% of the value of health insurance cards in 2026 for near-poor households in Long Xuyen, My Thoi, Binh Duc, and My Hoa Hung wards and communes, contributing to the goal of 100% of the population having health insurance cards; the People's Committee of My Thoi ward and T&T Group commended households that performed well in handing over land for the project.
