Long Xuyen holds training on AI application skills in state management

(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the morning of June 6, the Department of Science and Technology, in coordination with the People’s Committee of Long Xuyen City, held a training conference on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in state management for city-level leaders and managers.

The event was attended by Mr. Huynh Quoc Thai, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Secretary of the Long Xuyen City Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Quang, Chairman of the Long Xuyen City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Ms. Vo Thi Xuan Kieu, Vice Chairwoman of the Long Xuyen City People’s Committee; along with members of the City Party Standing Committee, heads of municipal departments and divisions, and representatives of local Party committees and governments.

In her opening remarks at the conference, Vice Chairwoman of the Long Xuyen City People’s Committee, Ms. Vo Thi Xuan Kieu, emphasized the importance of applying technology—especially artificial intelligence (AI)—amid the current wave of digital transformation. She stated that this training is a concrete effort to put the spirit of Politburo Resolution 57-NQ/TW into practice, serving the city’s political and administrative missions. Through the training content, participants were expected to enhance their awareness of the role and potential that AI applications bring to public service. The program also aimed to equip them with fundamental skills to harness, operate, and make decisions based on data and technology—particularly in fostering innovative thinking and flexible adaptation to digital transformation in their respective areas of responsibility.

As part of the training, delegates were introduced to fundamental knowledge of AI and specific applications of AI in state management. Key topics included prompt engineering techniques, guidance on using AI chatbots within government agencies, and the application of ChatGPT in administrative work. In addition, the speaker shared practical experiences and provided essential guidance to help officials and civil servants effectively begin incorporating AI into their daily tasks.
