Representing the leadership of An Giang province were: Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Thanh Nhan; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province Tran Thi Thanh Huong; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Lam Minh Thanh; former provincial leaders; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; and leaders of various departments and agencies of An Giang province.

In his opening remarks at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung stated that the announcement of the planning is an important step to publicly and transparently outline the spatial development orientation, goals, tasks, and development solutions of the locality in the new phase; at the same time, it creates unity in awareness and action among the entire political system, the business community, and the people, ensuring that the plan is implemented synchronously, effectively, and feasible.

The conference is not only an opportunity for An Giang province to announce the An Giang Provincial Master Plan for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 - the overall design for the province's future development; it serves as the political, legal, scientific, and practical basis for the province to reorganize its development space, reshape its growth model, and reallocate resources to serve the strategic goals and long-term development of the locality. It is also a forum for An Giang province to introduce its potential, advantages, development orientation, and opportunities for cooperation and investment to the business community and domestic and foreign investors.

In particular, the current phase of implementing 21 projects serving the APEC 2027 Conference in Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone (according to Decision No. 948/QD-TTg dated May 17, 2025 of the Prime Minister), with a total investment of over VND 137,000 billion, is of paramount importance. This is not only to ensure the successful organization of a national-level multilateral diplomatic event, but also to lay the groundwork for Phu Quoc to make significant breakthroughs in infrastructure, urban development, tourism services, investment environment, and quality of life. Through this, a new growth pole will be formed for An Giang, contributing to enhancing the nation's standing, spreading development momentum to the region, and making a positive contribution to the overall development of the country.

Furthermore, in recent years, the province has seen the participation of many investors, especially strategic investors such as Sun Group, Vingroup, and many large domestic and foreign investors who have been implementing large-scale projects, making a significant contribution to changing the economic landscape of the province (especially the Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone) towards a modern and integrated direction, becoming an international-class tourism and service destination, creating a strong ripple effect for the development of the entire region.

Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Ho Van Mung, emphasized that An Giang province considers the success of businesses as the success of the province. The effectiveness of investors is the driving force for local growth. The trust of the business community is the foundation for the sustainable development of An Giang.
