(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On May 12th, Mr. Ho Van Mung, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting to approve the preparations for the An Giang Provincial Planning Announcement and Investment Promotion conference.
Also attending were Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong; and Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee: Le Van Phuoc, Le Trung Ho, and Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung requested that the subcommittees, departments, and relevant units proactively review all contents, programs, operational scenarios, protocol, logistics, and publicity to ensure that the Conference is organized meticulously, professionally, safely, and creates a unique highlight for An Giang province.
Regarding the video clip to be shown at the Conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung basically agreed with the script content, and at the same time, requested the consulting unit to fully incorporate the contributions and suggestions from the delegates, and to finalize the video clip for screening as soon as possible, ensuring it is presented within the stipulated time.
The An Giang Provincial Planning Announcement and Investment Promotion Conference will be taken place at 8:00 AM on May 17, 2026, in the Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone. With the theme "An Giang – New Space, New Vision, New Success," the conference will be broadcast live on ATV1 and ATV2 channels of An Giang Newspaper and Radio-Television.
According to the Department of Finance's report, preparations for the An Giang Provincial Planning Announcement and Investment Promotion Conference have been implemented comprehensively, ensuring progress, quality, and effectiveness as required.
The reception, logistics, and ceremonial arrangements have been meticulously prepared, ensuring everything proceeded according to plan; coordination with the consulting unit to finalize the draft program and detailed script; the brand identity, stage design, and invitations have been completed, printed, and distributed.
The list of projects for which investment policy decisions, memorandum of understanding on investment cooperation to be signed at the Conference have been accomplished; the Department of Culture and Sports, in coordination with local authorities, implemented visual propaganda and promotion activities in key areas. The Provincial Public Security Department developed a detailed plan to ensure security and order, guaranteeing the safe conduct of the Conference.
The Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion has completed and prepared the set of publications and documents for the Conference; coordinated with the design consulting unit; and constructed 4 exhibition areas: an area for introducing Kinh, Hoa, Cham, and Khmer culture; and 3 areas for introducing the province's investment, trade, and tourism to visiting delegates…/.
