(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the morning of April 25, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung, Head of Working Group No. 1, monitoring and directing the fields of promoting science and technology development, digital transformation and administrative reform, chaired a meeting with members of the Working Group to review the contents of implementing tasks on economic growth.


Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung acknowledged and commended the departments, branches, localities, and members of the Working Groups for their efforts in performing their assigned tasks in the context of both promoting growth and socio-economic development and having to reorganize the apparatus. To ensure the completion of the growth target assigned by the Government of 8.5% growth, striving to achieve the province's target of 10% in 2025, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung requested departments, branches, localities, and members of the Working Groups to continue to closely follow the province's growth target; growth plan and scenario; socio-economic development plan; issued Resolutions and Directives to deploy and propose solutions to implement growth targets in each sector: Agriculture, forestry, fishery; industry, construction; services. First, efforts will be made to accelerate the achievement of the second quarter growth target higher than the scenario to lay the foundation for growth in the following quarters. The members of the Working Group will review and advise the Working Group Leaders and the Provincial People's Committee on recommendations to promote growth, such as: Proposing to remove difficulties for businesses; proposing to supplement and update land use planning, etc.
Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung requested that departments, branches and localities that are members of Working Group No. 1, in the task of developing science and technology, digital transformation and administrative reform, must closely follow the plans and tasks in the assigned fields. For the field of science and technology, departments, branches and localities need to focus on urgently advising and continuing to implement Action Program 32-CTr/TU of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation and Plan 181/KH-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee on implementing Resolution 03/NQ-CP of the Government on promulgating the Action Program to implement Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation. In particular, it is noted that science and technology must focus on specifics and have products for the processing industry, researching agricultural products. By the end of this year, the province must urgently have high-quality, low-emission rice products that are competitive in the market; Allocate at least 3% of the total local budget expenditure in 2025 for the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation.
Regarding the field of digital transformation, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung requested the health and education sectors to urgently continue to advise on the implementation of the goal of putting the digital transformation of the health and education sectors in the top group of the country. The Department of Science and Technology coordinates with relevant departments and sectors to continue advising on digital transformation in management, operation, and serving the people; prepare for the launching ceremony of digital literacy; fully deploy the models of the Digital Transformation Project before merging the province; Strengthen propaganda, inspection, and supervision of science, technology, and digital transformation. The Office of the Provincial People's Committee presides over and coordinates with agencies advising on administrative reform to review and reduce administrative procedures in accordance with regulations./.
