During the meeting with Sportline Apparel Vietnam One Member Co., Ltd., Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung welcomed the company for commencing operations (Phase 1) and creating jobs for 800 local workers. He also requested the company to comply with laws, prioritize workers' salaries and benefits, and ensure wastewater treatment to prevent environmental pollution.

He requested the Economic Zone Management Board to assist investors in completing procedures quickly and legally, enabling the project's Phase 2 to operate soon, boosting industrial production, and creating more jobs. The locality will continue to support businesses, ensuring security and order.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung inspected Xuan To Industrial Zone and met with the Economic Zone Management Board, local departments, agencies, sectors and localities, receiving reports on the wastewater treatment plant project progress and investment progress in the industrial zone.

According to the Economic Zone Management Board's report, Xuan To Industrial Zone (Tinh Bien ward) was established in 2004, focusing on small and medium-sized enterprises, mainly processing, assembly, and manufacturing export goods with minimal environmental pollution.

The total area is 57.4 hectares, with about 31 hectares of industrial land available for lease. The cleared land has infrastructure (with a centralized wastewater treatment system under construction), connected to electricity, water, telecommunications, and roads.

Invested industries include agricultural product processing, packaging, foodstuffs, electronics assembly, manufacturing, garment processing (no textile or dyeing), sport shoes, handbags (no leather tanning or processing), and other clean industries that don't pollute the environment…

Currently, the industrial zone has 1 FDI project (Taiwan) in operation, with a total registered investment of 300 billion VND and a registered area of 6.17 hectares (Sportline Apparel Vietnam One Member Co., Ltd.).

The Economic Zone Management Board is continuing to invite secondary investors to invest in industrial zones funded by the state budget. However, they are currently facing difficulties with land procedures.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung instructed the Economic Zone Management Board to proactively find solutions; to preside, coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Department of Justice, and other relevant departments and agencies to handle issues properly. 

He also asked them to work with the Provincial People's Committee Office to organize a meeting with relevant departments, agencies to find solutions. The Department of Agriculture and Environment was tasked with working with the Economic Zone Management Board to discuss with the Land Management Bureau, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, for guidance./.
