396 products, projects for STEM product design competition and provincial-level science and technology research

(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On January 24-25, the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province organized the STEM product design competition and provincial-level science and technology research for the 2025-2026 academic year.

The competition featured 396 STEM products and science and technology research projects from over 1,000 students from 180 participating units (including 100 high schools, middle schools, and high schools directly under the Department of Education and Training, and 80 commune, ward, and special zone units). Specifically, there were 55 representative STEM products from primary school students and 341 science and technology research projects from middle and high school students participating in the competition.

The science and technology research projects were divided into 7 categories, including: Social and Behavioral Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science - Embedded Systems, and Mathematics.

The judging panel began evaluating the preliminary round from January 12 to 18, selecting 33 STEM products and 203 science and technology research projects for exhibition and interview evaluation; and selecting projects for the national competition for science and technology research projects.

Results: STEM product design (primary school students): 33 awards; 4 first prizes; 6 second prizes; 10 third prizes; 13 consolation (fourth) prizes; 

Science and technology research (middle and high school students): 203 awards in field groups: 16 first prizes; 37 second prizes; 58 third prizes; 92 consolation (fourth) prizes. 

Social and Behavioral Sciences: 4 first prizes; Biology: 3 first prizes; Chemistry: 1 first prize; Physics: 2 first prizes; Mechanical Engineering: 1 first prize; Computer Science - Embedded Systems: 5 first prizes; Mathematics: no first prizes

The Department of Education and Training has selected 6 projects to participate in the national science and technology research competition for middle and high school students in the 2025-2026 academic year, to be held in Hanoi in March 2026. Accordingly, Huynh Man Dat High School for the Gifted has 3 projects selected for the national competition, and the other 3 projects are from: Thoai Ngoc Hau High School for the Gifted, Nguyen Trung Truc 1 High School, and Nguyen Van Thanh High School.
