Prof. Dr. Phan Thi  Bich Nguyet, Chair of UEH ALUMNI, Senior Advisor of the Institute of Innovation; Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Deputy Director of the Institute of Innovation; and leaders from various units of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics.

At the ceremony, Le Quoc Cuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, reported on An Giang's innovation activities from 2021-2025. Ngo Dang Hoan Thien, manager of the Innovative Startup Incubator, introduced the startup model and online platform being transferred to An Giang province.

Nguyen Thanh Phong, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, noted that 2025 marks a significant milestone for Vietnam's science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, as it's the first year implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW. This resolution is not just a specialized policy, but a strategic statement for the country's development path, where innovation and digital transformation are key pillars for Vietnam's breakthrough in the digital era.

Receiving and implementing the innovative startup model from Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics is not just about adopting a technical solution, but more importantly, it is about embracing a development mindset, organizational methods, and modern approaches to building a startup ecosystem.The transferred model focuses on four key areas:Incubating and developing startup projects for young people; Accelerating and enhancing management and technology capacity for local businesses; Connecting the ecosystem and investors; Operating the online platform (link unavailable) to support innovation and startup incubation in An Giang province at khoinghiep.angiang.gov.vn.These are very practical contents, contributing to the formation of an open startup space with data and professional guidance, thereby creating conditions for startup ideas to be nurtured and supported for development.

To effectively implement the model and achieve its goals and expectations, Nguyen Thanh Phong, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested that agencies and units resolutely implement key tasks.Specifically, the Department of Science and Technology is assigned to take the lead in receiving and operating the online platform supporting innovative startup incubation in An Giang province, ensuring smooth and effective operation. It will also collaborate closely with Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and relevant units to fully implement incubation, acceleration, and ecosystem connection programs as agreed upon. Additionally, it will regularly evaluate effectiveness and provide timely advice to the Provincial People's Committee on adjustment and improvement measures.

Departments, agencies, organizations, associations, universities, and colleges in the province should proactively collaborate, participate, and effectively utilize the online platform, integrating innovative startup activities into their programs and work plans. This will help form a widespread, synchronized, and sustainable startup support network.The province also suggests that leaders of universities and colleges in An Giang promote entrepreneurship among teachers, students, and young people, turning ideas into products and innovations into practical value, contributing to the An Giang province's development.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, also asks Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics to continue partnering with An Giang in implementing the model, providing training, professional consulting, and expert connections. He also suggests collaborating on specific solutions to improve innovation, competitiveness, and digital transformation indices, aiming to boost An Giang's performance from 2026 onwards.

The Innovative Startup Model Transfer Ceremony for An Giang province aims to further implement tasks on innovation and startup in the province according to Resolution 57-NQ/TW, promoting startup activities, innovation, and encouraging entrepreneurial spirit in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. It also seeks to form and develop an innovative startup ecosystem in An Giang province.

This marks the beginning of systematically receiving an advanced innovative startup model from Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics' research results, tailored to An Giang province's conditions and development orientation. It lays an important foundation to support the development of An Giang's innovation center, promoting the startup ecosystem and applying science and technology to sustainable socio-economic development in An Giang./.
