Reporting at the meeting, the People's Committee of Vinh Te Ward stated that the 2026 Sam Mountain Goddess of Festival is a series of events taking place from June 6 to June 8, 2026, with many festival programs. The Opening Ceremony will take place at 7:00 PM on June 6, 2026 (the 21st day of the 4th lunar month), at Sam Mountain National Tourist Area, Vinh Te Ward, with an expected scale of about 3,500 delegates. 

The Opening Ceremony is scheduled to be broadcast live on ATV, and fireworks are planned to be launched during the ceremony. The Reenactment of the Sam Mountain Goddess of Festival Statue Procession will be held on June 7, 2026 (the 22nd day of the 4th lunar month), at the Martyrs' Monument of Vinh Te Ward, Sam Mountain Peak, and the Goddess Temple. The Bathing Ceremony of the Lady is scheduled from midnight on June 8, 2026, to the early morning of June 9, 2026 (from midnight on the 23rd day to the early morning of the 24th day of the 4th lunar month), at the Sam Mountain Goddess Temple; etc.  

Through discussions at the meeting, delegates contributed opinions focusing on key contents such as: the festival organization program, guest list, scale of the program, communication work, and ensuring security and order, etc., to serve the Festival.  

Delivering the concluding remarks, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Phuoc acknowledged the efforts and commended the People's Committee of Vinh Te Ward, the Board of Management of Sam Mountain Temple and Shrine, and relevant agencies and units for proactively preparing the work for the 2026 Sam Mountain Goddess workship festival.  

Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Van Phuoc emphasized that the Sam Mountain Goddess workship festival was inscribed by UNESCO in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2024. This is the first year organizing the Sam Mountain Goddess workship festival after implementing the two-level local government system, so the organization of activities must ensure scale and solemnity to meet the standards of the Sam Mountain Goddess workship festival inscribed by UNESCO.  

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the People's Committee of Vinh Te Ward to coordinate with the Department of Culture and Sports and relevant departments and sectors to finalize the Decision on establishing the Organizing Committee, the festival program, the list of attending delegates, and the stage presentation of the 2026 Sam Mountain Goddess workship festival, etc. At the same time, the Provincial Police Department was assigned to develop a plan to ensure security and order before, during, and after the Festival.../.
