Removing difficulties for renewable energy projects in An Giang province in the period 2021 - 2030

(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the afternoon of March 4, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Van Phuoc chaired a meeting with departments, branches and localities on the progress of renewable energy projects implementing Power Master Plan VIII, the plan to implement Power Master Plan VIII, period 2021 - 2030.

According to the plan, in the period of 2021 - 2030, An Giang province has 4 renewable energy projects, including: An Giang 1 Biomass Power Plant (Luong An Tra commune, Tri Ton district), occupying an area of over 16.06 hectares of land; Nui To 1 Biomass Power Plant (Chau Lang commune, Tri Ton district), occupying an area of 23.8 hectares of land; JR An Giang Wind Power Plant (Luong An Tra commune, Tri Ton district), occupying an area of 15 hectares of land; Greenity An Giang Waste-to-Energy Plant, phase 1 (Binh Hoa commune, Chau Thanh district), occupying an area of 6.35 hectares of land. These projects are facing difficulties in construction planning, land use planning; land acquisition issues when implementing the project, land acquisition list; investment process, investment calling procedures, etc.

Speaking at the meeting, the Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches and localities to urgently and proactively coordinate to review planning, land acquisition lists; contractor selection plans, investment procedures, etc. After reviewing, it is requested to report with detailed and specific plans of each project to the Provincial People's Committee in March./.
