(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On April 1st, Mr. Ho Van Mung, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting to hear reports on the preparations for the Conference to announce the adjustment of An Giang Provincial Master Plan for the period 2021-2030 with a vision to 2050, and the Investment Promotion Conference of An Giang Provincial in 2026.
In his directive speech at the meeting, Chairman of the People’s Committee of An Giang Province, Ho Van Mung, agreed to hold the Conference on the Announcement of the Master Plan and Investment Promotion of An Giang Province on May 15th in the Phu Quoc Special Zone, with the theme “An Giang – New Space, New Vision, New Success”.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Finance to review the plan, assign specific tasks, and clearly state the timeline; departments, agencies, and localities should coordinate closely in the preparation and implementation. In addition, they were asked to create an investment promotion video clip with English subtitles; prepare a press release; and review the list of businesses that have signed MOUs or are eligible for awarding investment certificates.
According to the draft plan of the Department of Finance, the conference is expected to be held in Phu Quoc on a provincial scale, bringing together approximately 400-500 delegates; it will be held in person at the conference hall, combined with live television broadcasting and streaming on social media platforms.
The An Giang Provincial Master Plan Announcement and Investment Promotion Conference will be held to officially announce the An Giang Provincial Master Plan for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, which was approved by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 676/QD-UBND dated February 24, 2026.
The conference will provide comprehensive and unified information on the spatial and socio-economic development orientation of the province in the new period, creating an important legal basis for managing, attracting, and implementing investment projects in accordance with the approved plan. It also combined the promotion of the province's potential and advantages, as well as a list of investment projects in An Giang, aiming to attract investment capital and modern, advanced technologies from domestic and foreign investors to An Giang province.
Through this Conference, An Giang province affirms its strong determination and commitment to improving the investment environment, enhancing competitiveness, and supporting businesses; thereby attracting investment and effectively mobilizing social resources to realize the Provincial Planning, creating momentum for rapid and sustainable socio-economic development.
