(AG Provincial E-Portal) - The 18th Meeting of the Executive Committee of the City Party Committee (XII term) was held on the morning of October 8 by the Standing Committee of the Long Xuyen City Party Committee. The meeting evaluated the implementation of political tasks in the first nine months of the year and established the directions and tasks for the final three months of 2024. Additionally, the Provincial Party Committee's advisory and assisting agency leaders were present.
Generally, during the first nine months of the year, the economic situation in the area continued to maintain its development rate and showed signs of growth. It is anticipated that the industry will achieve 80% production value (comparative price) speed compared to the plan, construction will achieve 60.97%, and agriculture will achieve 76.6%. Revenue from catering and accommodation services amounted to 80.1%, while the total retail sales of goods amounted to 65.15%. The entire city registered 81 projects to celebrate the Party congress at all levels for the term 2025–30. There were 44 cases where regular cadre work took place. The compliance of 1,254 key cadres, 78 Party organizations, and Party members was assessed. Party committees at all levels conducted thematic supervision of 31 Party organizations, 64 key cadres, and Party members.
The ongoing promotion of patriotic emulation movements, which emphasize the mobilization of "skillful people," fosters a lively atmosphere. In the People's Committees of My Thoi ward and My Hoa Hung commune, 49 registered branches and grassroots Party committees are responsible for the implementation of 515 models. These models include "Green House," "Increase 30 minutes of support for people and businesses," and "Mobilizing people to concrete roads and rural bridges." Additionally, the point model is "Friendly government for the people to serve. "
The conference analyzed and clarified the work that has been done, as well as the limitations, obstacles, and directions to be implemented. It focused on the targets that are still low and unattainable, which are related to the construction of the Party and the people's movement. The conference also addressed the tasks of socio-economic development, the adjustment of the city's land use planning for the period of 2021– 2030, and the preparation for Party congresses at all levels for the 2025–30 term. The secretary of the Long Xuyen City Party Committee, Mr. Huynh Quoc Thai, spoke at the conference and asked the branches, grassroots party committees, agencies, and units to make a plan for 2024 that covers all areas and a plan for 2025 that includes work, inspections, and supervision. Continue to evaluate and consolidate leadership and management titles in order to align them with the 2025-2030 term planning, which is associated with the preparation of personnel for Party congresses at all levels.
