Concluding the meeting, on behalf of the Steering Committee, the Prime Minister commended the sense of responsibility demonstrated by provinces, cities, and central ministries in implementing this humanitarian program, which has yielded significant results.

Mr. Le Hong Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for the Implementation of the makeshift and dilapidated house elimination program, chaired a meeting with members of the Provincial Steering Committee

Emphasizing the principle of “Taking Action Instead of Hesitation,” the Prime Minister highlighted that the nationwide initiative to eliminate makeshift and dilapidated houses is of profound humanitarian significance. It reflects the commitment of the Party and the State to the people, particularly the poor, disadvantaged households, policy beneficiary families, and those who have contributed to the country. The program embodies the nation's longstanding tradition of solidarity and mutual support. The Prime Minister underscored that this is an important political mission that must be carried out with utmost determination and successfully completed.

With this spirit, the Prime Minister urged all ministries, sectors, and localities to demonstrate greater resolve and commitment in fulfilling their respective roles and responsibilities. The entire political system must recognize the elimination of makeshift and dilapidated houses as a crucial political task. The program must be executed in accordance with the established timeline, ensuring that no citizen is left to reside in inadequate housing while also preventing corruption, waste, and inefficiency.

In addition to support from the Party, the State, and local authorities, the Prime Minister encouraged beneficiary households to make efforts to improve their own circumstances, rather than relying passively on assistance. The implementation process must be transparent and accountable, with stringent measures to prevent corruption, waste, and vested interests.

Stressing that the goal of eradicating makeshift and dilapidated houses by October 31, 2025, is a formidable challenge, the Prime Minister called for a high level of determination, significant effort, and decisive, effective actions. Responsibilities must be clearly assigned following the "Five Clarities" principle: clarity in personnel, tasks, timelines, outcomes, and accountability. He urged the mobilization of resources at the local level, along with contributions from citizens, families, communities, and socio-political organizations to achieve the set targets. The successful realization of this program will serve as a meaningful tribute to the Party Congresses at various levels, culminating in the 14th National Party Congress. It will be a "gift" from the Party and the State to the people, particularly impoverished and vulnerable communities, ethnic minorities, and residents in remote areas, ensuring that "stable housing fosters sustainable livelihoods" by 2025.The Prime Minister reiterated that the task of eliminating makeshift and dilapidated houses in 2025 is highly demanding. He called upon ministers, heads of relevant sectors, secretaries of provincial and municipal Party Committees, and chairpersons of provincial-level People's Committees to demonstrate their responsibility to the Party, the State, and the people. They must focus on leading and directing the successful completion of this vital mission.

Immediately following the government’s online meeting, Mr. Le Hong Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial Steering Committee, chaired a meeting with members of the Provincial Steering Committee. He urged local authorities to expedite their efforts and develop concrete implementation plans aligned with the established roadmap. /.
