Deputy Minister of Education and Training inspects preparations for organizing the High School Graduation Exam in An Giang

Reporting to the working delegation, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training (Deputy Head of the Steering Committee), said that the High School Graduation Exam in An Giang took place in the context of administrative unit arrangement and implementation of 2-level local government. Receiving early guidance from the Ministry, close direction from the Provincial People's Committee, close coordination among departments, branches and local People's Committees, the preparation work was carried out synchronously and on schedule.

The exam will take place on June 26th – 27th. An Giang will organize the exam at 48 official exam sites and 01 backup exam site, an increase of 02 sites compared to 2024; with 938 exam rooms, 50 backup exam rooms and 17 waiting rooms for independent candidates who have graduated from high school. There are 21,233 candidates registered to take the exam, including exams according to the 2018 General Education Program and the 2006 program...

Through the discussion, Mr. Le Tan Dung, Deputy Minister of Education and Training, emphasized that this year is the first exam of the 2018 General Education Curriculum (along with candidates taking the 2006 curriculum) and in the context of restructuring the apparatus, the ministry determined that it is very important, it is necessary to strengthen coordination to ensure the exam takes place safely and seriously. 

An Giang is a locality with a lot of experience in organizing good exams over the past years. Highly appreciating the preparation work and proactive coordination between sectors and localities, along with the review plan, organizing mock exams for students... shows that the province is very proactive.

The Deputy Minister requested the Department of Education and Training to continue to direct schools to strengthen review so that students can grasp knowledge and have the best mindset to do the test. This year's exam has many new points, An Giang needs to review all stages; have plans to prevent and control pandemics, respond to weather and prepare for situations that may arise... so that the exam takes place safely, seriously, with quality and in accordance with regulations./
