(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the afternoon of February 25, Deputy Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy led a delegation to visit and congratulate An Giang General Hospital, An Giang Otorhinolaryngological (ENT) Hospital, An Giang Cardiovascular Hospital, and Happiness Hospital in Long Xuyên ward on the 71st anniversary of Vietnam Medical Doctor's Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2026). The delegation was accompanied by representatives from the Department of Health and the Provincial People's Committee Office.
At each hospital, Deputy Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy extends her warm congratulations and deep gratitude to the Management, doctors, staff, and workers.
Deputy Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy noted that the healthcare sector has contributed significantly to An Giang's development, particularly during the period 2020-2025 when the province faced many challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic. However, with strong leadership and efforts from the Provincial People's Committee and the healthcare sector, An Giang has achieved positive results, meeting all healthcare targets in the 5-year economic term.
Deputy Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy emphasized that digital transformation in healthcare has progressed significantly under the Provincial People's Committee and Department of Health's leadership. In the next term, An Giang aims to rank among the top 10 in digital transformation in healthcare and education nationwide, a challenging task, but healthcare has made a good start, laying the groundwork for future breakthroughs.
Deputy Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy affirmed that the Provincial People's Committee is always open to addressing hospitals' concerns and difficulties. She encouraged Happiness Hospital to build on its achievements, foster unity, and strive for sustainable development, particularly in developing high-quality human resources. She expressed her hope that the hospital would adopt digital transformation, leverage technology in medical services, and achieve excellent results. She also urged the hospital to continue its good work, aligning with national and provincial healthcare goals, prioritizing people's health care and protection.
Deputy Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy expressed gratitude to the hospital's medical professionals, doctors, staff, and workers for their significant and selfless contributions to healthcare and protection of the people. She wished the hospital's management and staff a meaningful and fulfilling Vietnam Medical Doctor's Day on February 27.
