(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the morning of February 24th, the Standing Committee of Cho Moi District Party Committee held a conference to summarize 4 projects of the District Party Standing Committee for building bridges, roads, houses, and flowers for the period 2021-2025. Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairwoman of Cho Moi District People's Council, Huynh Thi Nguyet Hong, presided over the conference.

After 5 years of implementation, Project 01/DA/HU on mobilizing resources to plant flowers and trees along roads in communes and townsships; Project 02-DA/HU on mobilizing resources to complete the rural road system for the period 2021-2025; Project 03-DA/HU on mobilizing resources to build rural concrete bridges for the period 2021-2025; and Project 06-DA/HU on building houses for poor and near-poor households, and disadvantaged households for the period 2020-2025” initiated by the District Party Standing Committee have achieved positive results.


With the motto "The people know, the people do, the people check," the District Party Committee has directed units to call for and mobilize contributions from philanthropists, companies, businesses, and individuals both inside and outside the district, raising nearly 251.6 billion VND to build bridges, roads, houses for the poor, and to plant flowers and trees.
Among these, 130 concrete bridges have been built at a cost of nearly 55.2 billion VND (an increase of 39 bridges compared to the demand for replacing wooden and makeshift bridges); 124 roads have been asphalted or concreted, costing over 92 billion VND (compared to the 124/102 roads in the project, achieving a rate of 121.57%); 2,232 houses have been built for poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households (compared to the 2,232/2,206 houses in the project, achieving a rate of 101.17%), costing nearly 98.4 billion VND; 111,027 trees and flowers have been planted along 211 roads (compared to the 211/120 flower roads in the project, achieving a rate of 178.83%), with a total length of 258.758km (compared to the 258.758/326 km in the project, achieving a rate of 79.39%), costing over 5.6 billion VND.
In concluding the conference, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairwoman of Cho Moi District People's Council, Huynh Thi Nguyet Hong, emphasized that the results of the projects under the 4 plans have significantly impacted the construction of new rural areas, social welfare, and economic-social development, changing the rural landscape. To date, all 15 communes in the district have met the new rural standards, 5 out of 15 communes have met the advanced new rural standards; the new rural district has met 8 out of 9 criteria, with 33 out of 36 indicators. Additionally, many good practices and effective models have emerged and gained the support of the people. Therefore, it is proposed that all levels, sectors, and the entire political system continue to implement the projects initiated by the District Party Committee, call for public participation, expand effective models, and reward good practices.
