(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On November 12, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee (PPC) Ho Van Mung chaired a conference to review the socio-economic situation in the first 10 months of 2025 and directions and tasks for the last months of 2025. Also attending were Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee: Nguyen Thanh Phong, Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy, and Le Trung Ho.

Speaking at the conference, An Giang PPC Chairman Ho Van Mung emphasized that in the fourth quarter of 2025, departments, branches, and localities need to focus on resolving difficulties and obstacles, and deploying solutions to achieve the socio-economic targets for 2025.
According to An Giang PPC Chairman Ho Van Mung, 2025 is a very important year, with "double" significance, both completing the socio-economic targets and tasks of the year, and creating a new premise and momentum to implement the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress; aiming for an economic growth target of 11% or more in 2026. Therefore, all sectors, localities, and agencies in the political system must make efforts, with the highest sense of responsibility, to implement the tasks set out in each sector and each field.
An Giang PPC Chairman Ho Van Mung requested units to focus on preparing well the contents to submit to the Provincial People's Council meeting. Departments, branches, Party Committees, People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones prepare and deploy tasks and plans to implement the action program to implement the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress. Substantially and effectively implement important Resolutions of the Politburo.

The entire province must focus on implementing solutions to promote economic growth to achieve the province's economic growth target of 8.5% assigned by the Government and continue to strive to achieve the growth target of 10% according to the province's plan. Provincial and local departments, branches, and sectors focus on speeding up work progress, proactively and responsibly, in the spirit of 6 clarity (clear people, clear work, clear time, clear products, clear responsibilities, clear authority).
Paying attention to removing difficulties and obstacles of enterprises, attracting investment; continuing to promote disbursement of public investment capital, budget collection; focus on completing socio-economic targets in 2025.
Continuing to overcome difficulties and obstacles in the operation of two-level local governments and the operation of the Public Administration Service Center; create all favorable conditions for people and enterprises when carrying out administrative procedures that must be resolved promptly.

Focusing on completing the provincial planning work, period 2021-2030, with the vision to 2050; coverage planning, zoning planning in 2025. Ensuring that by 2026, investment attraction and project implementation will not be hindered by planning. Speeding up the implementation of key programs, ensuring material sources for key projects.
Departments and branches should advise and effectively implement social security policies and job creation; effectively implement policies for people with revolutionary contributions; fully and promptly implement poverty reduction policies. Strengthen propaganda on social insurance and health insurance policies and have solutions to increase the proportion of the population participating in health insurance.
Continuing to coordinate with central ministries and branches to submit to the Government the dossier of the Oc Eo - Ba The archaeological site to be submitted to UNESCO for recognition as a world cultural heritage.
Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province Ho Van Mung emphasized that it is necessary to do a good job of preventing and combating corruption, negativity, waste, and group interests; not allowing negativity, corruption, waste, and group interests to occur in any work of the apparatus, of the government, and of all cadres and civil servants.

According to the report, the socio-economic situation in the first 10 months achieved many positive results such as: total rice output increased by 1.1%; total exploitation and aquaculture output increased by 6.64%; industrial production index increased by 14.04%; total tourist arrivals increased by 21.7%; total tourism revenue increased by 78.2%; export turnover increased by 10.65%; import turnover increased by 5.22%; total retail sales of goods and service revenue increased by 19.12% and the number of new registrations increased by 47% over the same period.
Since the beginning of the year, the province has planted more than 1.3 million hectares, reaching 100.5% of the plan; harvested more than 1.1 million hectares, reaching 88.05% of the sown area; the estimated harvested output is 7.88 million tons, reaching 90.65% of the plan.
In the first 10 months, total aquatic product output reached 1.36 million tons, up 6.64% over the same period and reaching 86.98% of the plan.
Industry maintained a high growth rate, especially the processing and manufacturing industry with many key products increasing strongly, contributing to maintaining the overall growth momentum. Industry continued to be a bright spot and the main growth driver. The industrial production index (IIP) in October increased by 13.05% over the same period. In the first 10 months, the industrial production index increased by 14.04% over the same period.



Up to now, in industrial parks and border economic zones in the province, 67 projects have been attracted with a total registered capital of more than 13,600 billion VND, creating jobs for over 34,000 workers.
In the first 10 months of 2025, the import and export situation of goods continued to be stable, with some good export items such as seafood, aquatic products, vegetables, leather and footwear, etc.
The cumulative 10 months reached 1,887 million USD, an increase of 10.65% over the same period and 84.61% of the plan.In the first 10 months, the whole province welcomed more than 21.3 million visitors, an increase of 21.7% over the same period, exceeding the yearly plan by 1.5%, of which international visitors welcomed more than 1.3 million, an increase of 65.7% over the same period, exceeding the yearly plan by 13.1%, total revenue reached about more than 56,000 billion VND, an increase of 78.2% over the same period, exceeding the yearly plan by 42.6%..../.
