Accordingly, the District Steering Committee started building a house for Mr. Pham Van Tan (residing in Group 16, An Thinh Hamlet, An Phu Town), a family with revolutionary contributions. The construction cost from the central budget supports 60 million VND/house. This is the first house to be started in the plan to build 19 houses for people with revolutionary contributions before the Lunar New Year 2025 (Ất Tỵ 2025 - the year of the Snake), under the program of the whole country joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

Mr. Trang Cong Cuong, Chairman of An Phu District People's Committee, said that after screening (according to the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses), there are 1,487 households in An Phu district that need housing support, including 2 groups of subjects. Group 1 is households of people with revolutionary contributions (189 households) and Group 3 is poor and near-poor households outside the National Target Program (1,298 households). The total estimated construction cost is about 84.5 billion VND. 

“The district steering committee, the district People's Committee and the sectors, communes and towns are urgently implementing the plan and focusing on mobilizing organizations and individuals inside and outside the district. At the same time, it is hoped that the provincial leaders will continue to pay attention and support An Phu district so that the district has the conditions to implement this program well to better care for people's housing" – Mr. Trang Cong Cuong, Chairman of An Phu district People's Committee, emphasized./.
