(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On September 27, the following individuals visited and encouraged households in Tan Chau town and An Phu district that had their houses collapsed or their roofs blown off as a result of storms and tornadoes on September 26: Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee Le Hong Quang; Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung; and leaders of departments and branches.
Mr. Le Hong Quang, Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee, and alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Ho Van Mung, conducted a survey of the location where the tornado tore off the roof of a residence. The provincial working delegation also participated in the survey.
Mr. Le Hong Quang, Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee and Member of the Party Central Committee, visited and encouraged households that had experienced the collapse of their houses or the removal of their roofs as a result of the recent storms on behalf of the provincial leaders. Simultaneously, he requested that the leaders of Tan Chau town and An Phu district adhere to the "4 on-site" motto to guarantee the safety of the populace. Simultaneously, collaborate with the armed forces to expedite the mobilization of forces and departments and branches to provide prompt assistance to individuals in overcoming the damage. Prioritize the restoration of security and order, the establishment of optimal conditions, and the assistance of individuals in overcoming challenges and stabilizing their lives.
Fourty-four households in Chau Phong and Phu Vinh communes were damaged by a thunderstorm and tornado that struck Tan Chau town at approximately 7:00 p.m. on September 26. This information is based on preliminary data. The thunderstorm and tornado simultaneously caused damage to 43 households in Vinh Truong commune (40 houses), Vinh Hau commune (2 houses), and An Phu town (1 house). Additionally, the roofs of two classrooms were blown off.
The Party Committee and the government of Tan Chau town and An Phu district mobilized the police, military, departments, branches, mass organizations of communes and hamlets, and local people to support repairs and overcome incidents caused by natural disasters in order to stabilize the lives of the people. This was done in response to the aforementioned situation.
