The ceremony to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the completion of Vinh Te Canal (1824 - 2024), commemorating the 198th anniversary of the death of Mrs. Chau Thi Te (1826 - 2024) is taking place at 8:00 p.m., November 14th, at Sam Mountain National Tourist Area (Sam Mountain Ward, Chau Doc City) and broadcasting live on An Giang Radio and Television Station and digital platforms.
This is an important event marking the 200th anniversary of a historic irrigation project that has significant implications for the socio-economic development, national defense and security of An Giang, the Mekong Delta region and to pay tribute to the contributions of our ancestors to the country. At the same time, this is an opportunity to promote and introduce the image of the land, people and typical and unique cultural values of the locality, serving tourism development.
After surveying the site and listening to the report on the organization of the event, Mr. Ho Van Mung, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee, highly appreciated the preparation work of the localities and units.
