(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the morning of November 13, the Standing Committee of An Giang Provincial People's Council held the twenty-fourth session (special session) of the Provincial People's Council term X (tenure 2021 - 2026). Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Council Le Van Nung; Vice Chairmen of An Giang Provincial People's Council Do Tan Kiet and Dinh Thi Viet Huynh chaired the session. Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung attended the session.
At the meeting, delegates listened to the presentations, discussed, voted, counted, announced the results and passed a resolution confirming the results of the election to fill the position of PPC’s Vice Chairman for the 2021-2026 tenure for Mr. Ngo Cong Thuc, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of An Giang Department of Transpor. Delegates also elected to fill the position of Member of An Giang Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Trinh Tuan Ngoc, Director of the Department of Justice; Elected to the position of Deputy Head of the Culture and Social Committee of An Giang Provincial People's Council term X, tenure 2021-2026, for Mr. Tran Ngoc Bau, delegate of An Giang Provincial People's Council term X, constituency No. 16, Cho Moi district. At the same time, the meeting also dismissed the position of Member of An Giang Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 tenure for Mr. Cao Thanh Son, former Director of the Department of Justice.
Based on the submissions, draft resolutions, and audit reports of the Provincial People's Council Committees, delegates attending the session focused on studying, discussing, giving opinions, and unanimously voting to pass 19 resolutions to promptly decide on contents, mechanisms, and policies within their authority, contributing to promoting local socio-economic development.
In his closing speech, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Council Le Van Nung congratulated the comrades who had just been elected by the Provincial People's Council to hold positions under the authority of the Provincial People's Council. At the same time, he hoped that in their new positions, they would continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, experience and leadership capacity to successfully complete the assigned political tasks.
In order to effectively implement the resolutions passed by the Provincial People's Council, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Council Le Van Nung requested the Provincial People's Committee, all levels, sectors, localities, agencies and units to immediately after the meeting, according to their assigned functions and tasks, focus on implementation, ensuring publicity, transparency and compliance with legal regulations; regularly monitor, urge and inspect to promptly detect and overcome limitations and difficulties in the implementation process, ensuring the early implementation of the resolutions and achieving the highest efficiency.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and socio-political organizations shall widely disseminate and inform voters about the contents of the Resolutions issued by the Provincial People's Council, in order to create high consensus in implementation.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Council Committees, the People's Council Delegation Groups, the People's Council delegates are assigned, and at the same time the Fatherland Front Committee and its member organizations are requested to continue to strengthen inspection and closely monitor the implementation process; Focus on monitoring from the beginning to promptly propose solutions to overcome shortcomings and difficulties in the implementation process./.
