(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the afternoon of November 11, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee (PPC) Ho Van Mung led a working delegation to inspect the construction progress and survey the routes connecting to the expressway to promote the effectiveness of synchronous investment in Component Project 1 of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Project Phase 1, the section passing through An Giang province.
Arriving to inspect the construction site, An Giang PPC’s Chairman Ho Van Mung and the provincial delegation inquired about the project's construction progress, shared difficulties and hardships with units, engineers, workers and praised their efforts to speed up the construction progress.
The PPC’s Chairman requested construction units to proactively supply materials, and at the same time implement solutions to ensure effective exploitation of sand mines according to the prescribed capacity and reserves to serve the expressway in order to ensure meeting and exceeding the schedule. The Department of Planning and Investment and the Department of Transport shall urgently advise the Provincial People's Committee to register a working session with relevant ministries and branches to exchange about quickly deploying the investment in the Tan Chau - Hong Ngu Bridge Project; the National Highway 91 bypass project through Cai Dau - Vinh Thanh Trung urban area; the project connecting the starting point of Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway to Tinh Bien Border Gate and the starting point of the expressway to the starting point of National Highway 91C to Khanh Binh Border Gate. Thereby, it will gradually complete the traffic infrastructure, in order to improve traffic capacity, transport capacity, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of An Giang province in particular and the Mekong Delta region in general./.
