(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the afternoon of January 20, the An Giang Center for Trade and Investment Promotion held a conference to review its trade, investment, and tourism promotion activities for 2024. The event also marked the organization’s 20-year milestone (2004–2024).
Over the past 20 years, the An Giang Center for Trade and Investment Promotion has made significant strides in trade, investment, and tourism promotion. Through its innovative and diverse initiatives, the Center has consistently improved the quality of its activities to meet the practical needs of the province. These efforts have resulted in successful programs and events that have garnered widespread acclaim.
In 2024, the Center collaborated with the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center (under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) and TikTok Vietnam to launch the An Giang OCOP Market on the TikTok platform. The Center also actively participated in key investment promotion events, including the Vietnam Expo in Hanoi, the Korea Meet-Up Conference in Binh Duong, and an investment potential showcase and product promotion event for An Giang in Ho Chi Minh City.
Additionally, the Center introduced a breakthrough tourism product: the “Chau Doc Three-River Confluence Colorful Floating Village.” It also organized the An Giang Traditional Ethnic Cake Culinary Space and the Southern Folk Cake Festival, attracting over 180,000 visitors and generating an estimated revenue of VND 34 billion.
In his address, Mr. Lê Trung Hiếu expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the Center’s staff to the An Giang Provincial Party Committee, the People’s Committee of An Giang Province, various sectors, local authorities, businesses, and media outlets. He acknowledged their guidance, cooperation, and support, which have been instrumental in the Center’s successes in 2024 and throughout the past 20 years.
