The Tet atmosphere is bustling at the tourist area in Tra Su melaleuca forest

Welcoming the Year of the Snake, Tra Su Melaleuca Forest Tourist Area (Van Giao Commune, Tinh Bien Town, An Giang Province) operates throughout Tet to serve tourists with many traditional Tet programs, many attractive activities, rich cuisine and a spring atmosphere.

Specifically, the free buffet program with more than 40 types of traditional cakes and attractive fruits such as palm cake, banh it, banh tet, tangerines, mangoes, longans, specialty fruits... takes place from the 1st to the 6th of Tet (from January 29, 2025 to February 3, 2025);); Tra Su restaurant serves dishes with a strong rural flavor, from grilled snakehead fish, grilled chicken, and fish sauce hotpot; Special entertainment programs throughout Tet with performances imbued with the cultural identity of the Southern river region, performed throughout the 1st to 6th, interesting folk games, attracting tourists; Many scenes around the flower garden and miniature landscapes are uniquely decorated, promising to be an attractive "check-in" spot for tourists in the new year.

Possessing a unique and charming natural landscape of the Mekong Delta. In 2024, Tra Su Melaleuca Forest Ecotourism Area took the leading position in the "Top 50 attractive tourist destinations in Ho Chi Minh City and 13 provinces and cities of the Mekong Delta in 2024".

With a total area of more than 845 hectares of primeval cajuput trees that are decades old, Tra Su cajuput forest is located in Van Giao commune, Tinh Bien town, An Giang province.

This is a typical flooded forest of the West Hau River region, home to many species of animals and plants belonging to the special-use forest system of Vietnam, home to about 22 species of reptiles, 11 species of mammals, 23 species of aquatic animals and 140 species of plants belonging to 52 families and 102 genera. There are nearly 80 species of rare medicinal herbs.
