(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the afternoon of May 7, Ho Van Mung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting with the Subcommittees on preparations for the conference on announcing the provincial planning and Investment Promotion in Phu Quoc Special Zone.
Also in attendance were Nguyen Thanh Phong, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vice Chairpersons of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy and Le Trung Ho; leaders of relevant departments, boards, and sectors; leaders of Phu Quoc Special Zone; and Phu Quoc Sun Co., Ltd. – Sun Group.
At the An Giang Provincial People's Committee video conference site, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Phuoc and representatives of several relevant departments, boards, and sectors were in attendance.
At the meeting, a representative of the Department of Finance leadership reported on the implementation of assigned tasks for preparations for the Conference on Announcing the Provincial Planning and Investment Promotion, including: Each Subcommittee has developed plans for implementation based on Plan No. 182/KH-UBND dated April 9, 2026; the video clip on An Giang Province’s Planning for the 2021–2030 period, with a vision to 2050, is being finalized; along with documents, the master map, the An Giang investment promotion material package, OCOP products, and the list of projects calling for investment; the program and script are in the finalization stage; decisions on investment policy are expected to be handed over to investors; the Subcommittees have also coordinated to conduct an initial review of the organization plan, with particular attention to reception, logistics, ceremonial arrangements, accommodation facilities, delegate welcoming, security and public order, healthcare, communications, and other conditions to ensure the Conference is served in accordance with the set plan.
The Conference on Announcing the Provincial Planning and Investment Promotion, themed “An Giang – New Space, New Vision, New Success,” is scheduled to be held on May 17, 2026, at Sun Signature Gallery Hall, Phú Quốc (Mediterranean Area, An Thới, Phú Quốc, An Giang Province), with about 400–500 delegates in attendance. The conference will be broadcast live and livestreamed on social media platforms.
After hearing the Subcommittees report on implementation progress, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Hồ Văn Mừng commended the Subcommittees for their effective preparations for the Conference on Announcing the Provincial Planning and Investment Promotion in the past period.
Accordingly, the Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee requested that the Subcommittees continue to carry out their tasks seriously, solemnly, practically, effectively, and in compliance with regulations, ensuring safety and cost-efficiency; that content preparations be focused and prioritized; that information be complete, accurate, and consistent, clearly outlining the province’s development orientations and investment opportunities; that specific tasks be assigned to each responsible individual in accordance with the “6 Clarities” principle; and that departments, boards, sectors, and all 102 communes, wards, and the special zone closely coordinate in implementing synchronized communication and publicity efforts to ensure wide dissemination of content on the Provincial Planning and investment promotion./.
