(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the afternoon of February 24th, Vice Chairwoman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyễn Thị Minh Thúy presided over a meeting to review the organization of the ceremony for receiving the UNESCO certificate recognizing the Via Ba Chua Xu Sam Mountain Festival as an Intangible Cultural Heritage, Representative of Humanity and the opening of the Via Ba Chua Xu Sam Mountain Festival. The meeting was attended by leaders of provincial departments, agencies, and Chau Doc city.
The ceremony to receive the UNESCO Certificate recognizing the Via Ba Chua Xu Sam Mountain Festival as an Intangible Cultural Heritage, Representative of Humanity and the opening of the Via Ba Chua Xu Sam Mountain Festival will take place at 8:00 p.m. on March 19 at the Sam Mountain National Tourist Area (Nui Sam Ward, Chau Doc City), with an expected duration of 120 minutes. The program will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television (VTV channel) and other television stations nationwide.
The program has 3 parts, including: Part I, the UNESCO Certificate Receiving Ceremony; Part II, the opening of the Via Ba Chua Xu Sam Mountain Festival; Part III, a special art performance program. Before that, at 6:00 p.m. on the same day, delegates held an incense offering ceremony at Thoai Ngoc Hau Tomb and Ba Chua Xu Sam Mountain Temple. The implementing units include: An Giang Provincial People's Committee (presiding over); UNESCO National Commission in Vietnam, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (coordinating unit); Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Chau Doc City People's Committee (implementing unit).
At the meeting, delegates representing agencies, units and localities reported on the progress of the implementation to assigned tasks. At the same time, they expressed their opinions on a number of issues and contents related to the preparation work for the event's activities to ensure the planned progress.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy requested relevant departments, branches, sectors and units to review assigned tasks, prepare plans, and ensure the event taken place safely and solemnly. Members of the organizing committee and sub-committees, based on their assigned tasks, shall proactively and effectively implement them, especially completing plans, developing programs, detailed scripts, speeches by leaders, logistics, decoration, and celebrations...-
The relevant authorities should continue to promote and publicize the event to create a widespread impression on the people and tourists; Ensure conditions for security and order, environmental sanitation, food hygiene and safety, fire prevention and fighting; Regularly review assigned tasks, if there are any difficulties or problems, promptly report to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and resolution./.
