Promoting communication for the 14th An Giang Provincial Technical Innovation Contest 2024-2025

On the afternoon of April 17, the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations (Standing Board of the Contest Organizing Committee) held a meeting of the Organizing Committee to discuss solutions for effectively implementing the 14th An Giang Provincial Technical Innovation Contest 2024-2025.

The meeting was chaired by President of the Union of Science and Technology Associations Doan Ngoc Pha; Vice President of the Union of Science and Technology Associations Thai Thuy Xuan and Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment Tran Thanh Hiep. Attending the meeting were representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches and associations who are members of the Organizing Committee of the Contest.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice President of the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations Thai Thuy Xuan said that the organization of the contest contributes to promote the movement of creative labor emulation among the people, especially among cadres, civil servants, public employees, youth, students and workers in the province. Thereby, promoting intelligence, creative potential, encouraging proposals of initiatives, technical improvements, solutions and research works that are applicable to production and life, contributing to socio-economic development, environmental protection and improving the quality of life. The contest is also an opportunity to honor collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in scientific and technical innovation activities, spreading the spirit of innovation in the community. This is also one of the key contents of the Union to realize Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. To implement the Contest in accordance with the current situation, the Organizing Committee has adjusted the Plan, specifically: The deadline for receiving entries is May 30, 2025; the summary and award ceremony will be held at the end of June 2025.

The members of the Organizing Committee discussed and agreed to speed up the progress of the Contest to suit the current situation, and at the same time expressed concerns, difficulties and obstacles in mobilizing and guiding subjects in the system to participate in the Contest. Concluding the meeting, President of the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations Doan Ngoc Pha requested members of the Organizing Committee to promote communication, pay attention to potential subjects, guide subjects in the industry and field in the process of implementing scientific and technological topics, technical solutions participating in the contest... At the same time, he requested members to actively coordinate to ensure the implementation of the contest is on schedule, transparent, objective and effective.
