During the past term, the Party Committee of the An Giang Provincial Economic Zone Authority effectively led the implementation of political tasks, making a significant contribution to the economic growth of An Giang Province. Each year, the disbursement of public investment capital reached approximately 95% of the total planned budget. At the same time, the Authority actively advised competent bodies in approving several key initiatives, including: The Investment Proposal for the An Giang Border Gate Economic Zone; The application for upgrading Khanh Binh Border Gate to an international gate (for both road and inland waterway); The Infrastructure Development Project for Vam Cong Industrial Park (193.31 hectares), which has received investment approval from the Prime Minister (upon completion, it is expected to create employment for approximately 8,000 workers); The Master Plan Adjustment for the An Giang Border Gate Economic Zone through 2045; The provincial People’s Committee also approved Phase 1 investment for the Tinh Bien Border Gate Logistics Center (25 hectares, implementation period: 2026–2030)

The authority received and worked with 47 domestic and foreign investors exploring opportunities in industries such as garment and textiles, leather footwear, and agricultural product processing. Currently, the province’s industrial parks and economic zones host 44 active investment projects, with a total registered capital of VND 7,050 billion, creating jobs for nearly 19,500 workers.

The State budget has allocated more than VND 329 billion for infrastructure development in industrial parks and functional areas within the border gate economic zone for the 2021–2025 period. At present, An Giang has planned five industrial parks covering a total area of 856.94 hectares, of which three have already been put into operation, with a combined area of over 219.75 hectares.

Party building work has received considerable attention, with innovations in the format of grassroots-level meetings and streamlining of organizational structures. All affiliated Party cells have successfully fulfilled their assigned duties, with the vast majority rated as having performed at “Good” level or higher; annually, approximately 90% of Party members complete their tasks at a “Good” level or above.

For the 2025–2030 term, the Party Committee has identified three strategic breakthroughs: digital transformation and administrative reform; human resource development; and investment in critical infrastructure. In parallel, the authority will take proactive steps to implement the Investment Proposal for the An Giang Border Gate Economic Zone following approval by the Prime Minister. It will also closely monitor and expedite the implementation of the 2026–2030 medium-term public investment projects, ensuring the highest possible disbursement of allocated capital. Additional priorities include promoting the completion of key infrastructure systems and accelerating the progress of unfinished major projects to bring them into operation at the earliest possible time.
