(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the afternoon of February 10, Nguyen Tien Hai, a member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee, led a delegation from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front to visit and wish a happy Lunar New Year to former An Giang Provincial Party Secretaries and former military leaders.
The delegation included Tong Phuoc Truong, a member of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mobilization Department, and Ha Minh Trang, Vice Chairman of An Giang Province's Vietnam Fatherland Front.
The delegation visited and wished a happy Lunar New Year to Le Phu Hoi, former Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee; Vo Thanh Khiet, former Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee; General Bui Van Huan, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Deputy Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army.
At each visit, An Giang Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Tien Hai shared updates on the province's political tasks and socio-economic development achievements. After the merger, An Giang's political system quickly stabilized, united, and worked hard to fulfill its duties. Party building and the political system received attention. The administration at both provincial and local levels operates smoothly and effectively.
The province's socio-economic situation continues to yield positive results, with economic growth reaching 8.39% in 2025 ranking first in the Mekong Delta region and among the top in the country. Political security, social order, border security, and maritime security remain stable. Social welfare, care for veterans, and social security have been well-addressed.
