Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of An Giang, Mr. Phan Van Kien, and Mr. Tran Giang Khue, Head of the Intellectual Property Office in Ho Chi Minh City, were joined by representatives from various departments and sectors of the province, as well as local authorities, businesses, and cooperatives.

At the training session, the participants were provided with knowledge in three main areas: digital transformation in manufacturing, business activities, and efforts to combat counterfeit goods, smuggling, and intellectual property violations in An Giang; the current state of digital transformation in these areas; and the protection of intellectual property rights for businesses during the digital transformation process.

In his opening speech, Deputy Director Phan Van Kien emphasized that, despite the benefits brought by e-commerce platforms, there remain many challenges in online trade, such as counterfeit goods, smuggling, and violations of intellectual property rights, which are becoming increasingly complex. The purpose of the training was to raise awareness about the role of digital transformation in identifying, preventing, and handling counterfeit goods, smuggling, and intellectual property violations; to share experiences and technological solutions for applying digital transformation to combat these issues; and to celebrate World Intellectual Property Day on April 26. This also provided an opportunity for businesses to explore digital transformation solutions for combating counterfeit goods and intellectual property violations, helping to create a transparent and sustainable business environment.
