(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On April 8th, the alternate member of the Central Party Committee, Vice Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee, Ho Van Mung, led a delegation to visit and extend Chol Chnam Thmay New Year greetings for 2025 to the Khmer ethnic minority people at Thot Not Pagoda (An Cu Commune, Tinh Bien Town).


After warmly inquiring about the living conditions and activities of the local Khmer people, Chairman Ho Van Mung, on behalf of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front of An Giang, extended his best wishes for a happy, joyful, and peaceful Chol Chnam Thmay New Year to the monks, elders, and the local Khmer people, emphasizing unity and thrift.
Additionally, he recognized the positive contributions of the monks and elders in spreading awareness and encouraging the local Khmer people to follow the Party's policies, state laws, and local socio-economic development programs. He also reaffirmed the attention of the Party, the State, and the local government to the lives of the Khmer ethnic minority people.
Based on this, Chairman Ho Van Mung expressed hope that the monks and elders would continue to play an active role in promoting the spirit of national unity among the Khmer people, encouraging them to participate in patriotic movements, especially the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated housing in the locality. He also emphasized the importance of encouraging Khmer children to study well and build a better future to contribute to the development of their homeland.
On this occasion, the delegation from the Tinh Bien Town Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front, led by Mr. Nguyen Hong Duc, Secretary of the Tinh Bien Town Party Committee, also visited and extended Chol Chnam Thmay greetings at Thot Not Pagoda./.
