(AG Provincial E-Portal) - Over VND 22 billion has been received by the Mobilization Committee of the Fund "For the Poor" in Tinh Bien town from organizations and individuals both within and outside the town in the first nine months of 2024.
In this case, the cash amount is nearly VND 7 billion, which includes the direct distribution of gifts by donors and the receipt of donations by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of towns, communes, and wards. The in-kind money amount was over 16 billion VND and facilitated the distribution of 42,258 gifts, totaling 22,857 billion VND. Support is provided to policy families, impoverished households, near-poor households, and households with challenges, with the intention of assisting students in their academic pursuits.
Tinh Bien town has constructed 181 new Great Solidarity Houses at a total value of 8,260 billion VND since the beginning of the year. These houses were constructed in a variety of localities, including An Nong (41 units), Van Giao (27 units), An Hao (23 units), Vinh Trung (19 units), An Cu (20 units), Tan Lap (7 units), Tinh Bien (6 units), Nha Bang (11 units), Nhon Hung (5 units), Tan Loi (4 units), Chi Lang (6 units), Nui Voi (4 units), An Phu (3 units), and Thoi Son (4 units).
Simultaneously, in order to facilitate the implementation of the campaign "The whole people unite to build a new countryside and a civilized city," coordinating with departments, branches, mass organizations of the town, and the People's Committees of the communes to continue organizing propaganda and mobilizing the public to respond, organize the implementation of criteria/targets in accordance with the roadmap for the construction of a new countryside in An Nong commune and Vinh Trung commune.
The locality will continue to enhance coordination with member organizations, departments, and branches in the implementation of the campaign "The entire population unites to construct a new countryside and a civilized city" in the future. Simultaneously, we will continue to collaborate with the government to ensure the successful implementation of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction, a socio-economic development program in mountainous and ethnic minority areas. We will also continue to implement the "For the Poor" peak month in 2024 and the "The Whole Country Joins Hands for the Poor—Leaving No One Behind" movement. In this movement, we will regularly review and evaluate the implementation, receipt of assistance, and support in accordance with the motto "Do not let poor households and households with difficult policies without any organization support and help."
