(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the morning of May 7, the An Giang Business Association organized a business coffee meeting to meet with provincial leaders, listen to business concerns, and provide information on specialized topics to support businesses in expanding their markets.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Le Van Nung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy, Vice Chairman of An Giang People's Committee; Dr. Ho Viet Hiep, President of the An Giang Business Association; leaders of 15 departments and agencies, Kien Giang Business Association, and over 50 local businesses.

During the meeting, attendees received a summary report of the activities of the An Giang Business Association in recent times and the plan for May 2025. The Department of Industry and Trade shared information on the support measures for businesses in An Giang in 2025 to expand their markets, enhance the competitiveness of their products and services, and promote participation in the global supply chain. The Trade and Investment Promotion Center of An Giang provided guidance on trade promotion and investment strategies, both domestically and internationally, for 2025.

Business members expressed various concerns and suggestions to the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, and relevant departments regarding policy issues such as supporting the development of cooperatives, the development of collective economy, licensing of inland waterway ports, and barriers to exporting to the Chinese market. Businesses also proposed maintaining and developing the business coffee meetings as a platform for trade connection, staying updated on new policies related to socio-economic development, and addressing difficulties to ensure quick resolutions, building an image of dynamic and creative leadership in An Giang that is always supportive of businesses.

In her speech, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy, Vice Chairman of An Giang People's Committee, acknowledged the contributions and addressed the suggestions made by businesses. She emphasized the importance of the business community in driving economic development, particularly in the achievements of An Giang’s socio-economic progress in the first quarter of 2025. She recognized the contributions of businesses to social welfare activities, including supporting the provincial program for building houses for people with meritorious service and poor households by the deadlines set by the Prime Minister. She encouraged businesses to continue their contributions to the province’s development and to provide policy recommendations for further growth. The provincial government will continue to support businesses by addressing challenges, improving the investment environment, and facilitating their growth.
