(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On January 7th, the Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Tinh Bien town held a groundbreaking ceremony to build houses for poor, near-poor households and policy households in 2025, following the Prime Minister's call. Mrs. Dang Thi Hoa Ray, Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province; Mr. Nguyen Hong Duc, Secretary of Tinh Bien Town Party Committee; Mr. Pham Van Phuc, Chairman of Tinh Bien Town People's Committeeattended.




Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Phan Thanh Dung, Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Tinh Bien town, affirmed that this is an activity to create a vibrant atmosphere to effectively carry out the movement of the whole country joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, with the determination of "don’t leave anyone behind". At the same time, it also aims to mobilize resources from the whole society to continue to care for poor households and policy families to settle down and gradually escape poverty.
At the ceremony, the Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Tinh Bien town started construction of 16 houses, each worth 60 million VND, for poor and near-poor households who have enough land and need to build houses before the Lunar New Year 2025.
According to the plan, the entire Tinh Bien town has 302 poor and near-poor households and 370 households with especially difficult housing circumstances that are in dilapidated need of housing support under the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025./.
