(An Giang Provincial E-Portal) - On the afternoon of August 15, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People’s Committee Ho Van Mung led a provincial working delegation to inspect the progress of Component Project 1 under Phase 1 of the Chau Doc – Can Tho – Soc Trang Expressway, along the section passing through An Giang Province.

He directly checked construction sites at the interchange where Component Project 1 connects with Provincial Road 945 (Contract Package No. 43); listened to reports from the project owner and contractors on construction progress as well as proposals and recommendations to address difficulties arising during implementation; and commended the determined efforts of relevant departments and sectors, the project owner, construction units, and local authorities in organization and execution to ensure project progress, despite the implementation timeline having already been shortened twice.

The Chairman requested that Party committees, local authorities, departments and sectors, the Provincial Project Management Board, and contractors act with determination and proactivity to ensure completion of project milestones in accordance with the Prime Minister’s directives. Underperforming contractors failing to meet schedule requirements will be handled resolutely. The Department of Agriculture and Environment is to coordinate with relevant units to review the province’s mining sites (sand and stone) and advise the Provincial People’s Committee on solutions to ensure material supply for on-schedule construction.
The project owner and construction units are to proactively implement construction plans, mobilize maximum machinery, equipment, and human resources, and organize multiple work fronts to overcome difficulties and accelerate construction, in the spirit of the Prime Minister’s instruction to “eat during brief breaks, sleep in haste” and “brave the sun, beat the rain,” ensuring the best possible progress and quality, striving to basically complete the project by December 19.

On this occasion, the provincial delegation presented gifts to encourage the engineers and workers on the construction site of Component Project 1 of the Chau Doc – Can Tho – Soc Trang Expressway (Phase 1), along the section within An Giang Province.

At present, the total realized output of the four main construction packages has reached 55.19% (approximately 0.04% ahead of the contract value).
