The opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year is also the occasion to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of National Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training), organized differently from previous years. General Secretary To Lam delivered a speech at the ceremony and beat the drum to open the new school year 2025-2026. At the ceremony, the President awarded the First Class Labor Medal to the Ministry of Education and Training. Speaking at the ceremony, Principal of Tinh Bien High School Nguyen Ha Hung Son said that in the 2024-2025 school year, all exams, professional competitions and provincial-level movements that students and teachers participated in during the school year won prizes. The rate of students admitted to universities and colleges in the first round of 2025 reached 58.41%.

In the new school year 2025-2026, Tinh Bien High School has 1,324 students in 30 classes (the rate of mobilizing students to attend classes reached 100.68%), of which ethnic minority students are 90, accounting for about 6.8%. At Tinh Bien High School livestream site, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Tien Hai presented 5,000 notebooks to the school, 10 scholarships (each worth 1 million VND). Thuan Phong Mineral Joint Stock Company (Ho Chi Minh City) presented 100 scholarships (each worth 1 million VND), VNPT An Giang donated 10 million VND to the school's scholarship fund; An Giang Lottery Company Limited presented 2,200 notebooks and 110 raincoats to students of Tinh Bien High School. According to the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province, in the 2025-2026 school year, the province will have 1,355 units and schools. By the end of September 04, the province has a total of 700,134 students attending classes; including 78,201 preschool children, 294,525 primary school students, 214,577 secondary school students, 95,864 high school students and 16,967 continuing education students. This school year, the entire education and training sector of An Giang province has 48,281 managers, teachers and staff, of which 39,692 are direct teachers./.
