(An Giang provincial e-portal) - The An Giang Provincial People's Committee organized the inauguration ceremony of the An Giang Provincial Theater on the morning of August 19 in Long Xuyen ward, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).


The ceremony was attended by Ho Van Mung, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, members of the Provincial Party Committee, and former provincial leaders.
This is one of three projects in An Giang Province, part of 250 key and representative projects across 34 provinces and cities nationwide, that held simultaneous inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies on August 19, with 80 venues selected for live streaming and broadcast.
At the Hanoi venue, General Secretary To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, and many current and former Party and State leaders cut the ribbon to inaugurate the National Exhibition Center.



An Giang Provincial Theater, constructed with an investment of over 215 billion VND from the provincial budget, features a seating capacity of 1,000 and includes various functional, teaching, and rehearsal rooms. The project spans a total floor area of 10,385 m², comprising one basement, one ground floor, two upper floors, and a roof.
The theater is equipped with modern infrastructure, including electricity and water supply systems, fire safety and prevention systems, lightning protection systems, and more.

The project also includes external technical infrastructure, such as a security house, perimeter fencing, gates, an outdoor amphitheater, spectator stands, an outdoor foyer, decorative ponds, and landscaping with greenery.
An Giang Provincial Theater is designed to accommodate large-scale political, artistic, and cultural events, while also providing a venue for showcasing and preserving traditional art forms of the nation.
This aims to meet the needs for developing the spiritual cultural life of the people, as well as the needs for artistic appreciation and creativity of professional artists and mass art movements..../
