Delegates congress of Chi Lang ward, 2025–2030 term

(An Giang provincial e-portal) - Over two days, August 17–18, the Party Committee of Chi Lang Ward (An Giang Province) held the 1st Delegates Congress for the 2025–2030 term, with 180 official delegates representing subordinate cells and party committees in attendance. With the motto “Solidarity – Discipline – Creativity – Development,” the Congress approved the political report submitted to the 1st Congress of the Ward Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term; the self-assessment report of the Executive Committee and Standing Board of the Ward Party Committee for the past term; and compiled and absorbed comments on the Documents of the 14th National Party Congress and the documents of the 1st Congress of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term.

At the same time, the Congress identified breakthrough tasks for the new term, including: developing synchronized transport and urban infrastructure; developing trade–services in association with cottage industries; developing high-tech agriculture and creating jobs for rural laborers. 

Specifically, the Party Committee of Chi Lang Ward strives to achieve the following targets: the average five-year growth rate of total state budget revenue in the area to reach 10% or higher; the average five-year growth rate of total local output to reach 10% or higher; per-capita income in 2030 to reach the equivalent of 110.94 million VND/person/year; and the rate of poor and near-poor households under the multidimensional poverty standard to be below 2% by 2030. Orienting tasks for Chi Lang Ward in the new term, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Ho Van Mung requested that the locality focus on building a comprehensively strong Ward Party Committee across all aspects—politics, ideology, ethics, and organizational apparatus—to foster unity across the entire Party Committee and the people, and to effectively implement the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and laws.

Focus on proposing solutions to successfully implement the targets and tasks set by the Ward Party Committee’s Congress Resolution, especially priority tasks and breakthroughs. Urgently implement the Action Program to implement the Ward Party Committee’s Congress Resolution in the spirit of the “Six Clarities”: clear person, clear task, clear responsibility, clear product, clear deadline, clear authority. 

Along with that, effectively implement the four pillar Resolutions of the Politburo (Nos. 57, 59, 66, 68), the action programs of the Provincial Party Committee, and the province’s schemes to implement the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term. Adhere to the viewpoints, objectives, tasks, and solutions set out in the resolutions to lead and direct implementation in line with local realities. 

The Congress announced the decision of the Provincial Party Standing Committee appointing 29 comrades to the Executive Committee of the Chi Lang Ward Party Committee; 11 comrades to the Standing Board of the Ward Party Committee; and the decision appointing the Inspection Committee of the Ward Party Committee. Comrade Phan Thanh Dung was appointed Secretary of the Chi Lang Ward Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term./.
