(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the afternoon of July 4, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Tien Hai, along with a delegation from the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, conducted an inspection of the Public Administrative Service Centers in My Thoi and Long Xuyen wards.
Accompanying the delegation were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Ho Van Mung, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Lam Minh Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Huong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation, and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang Province; as well as other members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and leaders of advisory and executive bodies under the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee.

At both centers, the delegation conducted an on-site inspection of facilities, organizational structure, staff performance, and attitude of officials in charge of various administrative areas. They evaluated guidance protocols, procedure handling, and the application of information technology in processing administrative requests from citizens and enterprises. The review also addressed initial shortcomings and limitations encountered during the early implementation of the new two-tier local government model.
Secretary Nguyen Tien Hai emphasized that these are two central wards of the newly formed An Giang Province, with high population density and a large volume of administrative requests compared to other localities. He called on the Party Committees and People's Committees of both wards to continue directing officials and civil servants at the service centers to enhance their sense of responsibility, actively study and update legal documents—especially those related to new or complex areas—to ensure better task execution. Staff must maintain a courteous and enthusiastic demeanor when assisting citizens and businesses, ensuring smooth and coordinated operations and swift, compliant resolution of administrative procedures.
Following the inspections, the delegation visited the headquarters of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Xuyen ward; the former offices of the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee; and other provincial-level agencies. The purpose was to assess the facilities for potential reallocation, optimal use of public assets, and to prevent losses and waste.
