Secretary Le Hong Quang and the provincial delegation presented gifts to engineers and workers on the construction site of the Chau Doc – Can Tho – Soc Trang expressway in An Giang province

The delegation directly checked the construction points in the districts of Thoai Son, Chau Thanh, Chau Phu, and the city of Chau Doc. They listened to reports from the contractors on the implementation progress and proposals for resolving difficulties in the project. Secretary Le Hong Quang praised and acknowledged the proactive involvement of the relevant departments, investors, contractors, and local authorities in organizing and ensuring the project's progress. He also shared the challenges faced during construction and encouraged the engineers and workers on site.

Secretary Le Hong Quang affirmed that An Giang Province always strives to provide the most favorable conditions, particularly by handing over 100% of the land and ensuring the supply of necessary materials to the contractors in accordance with legal regulations. Therefore, the contractors are required to collaborate proactively with the investors and relevant departments to quickly propose solutions to overcome difficulties and obstacles in the project's implementation. In particular, they must proactively implement construction plans, mobilize the maximum amount of machinery, equipment, and human resources, organize multiple construction teams, and adapt to actual conditions to push forward the construction progress, in line with the Prime Minister's direction: "Work diligently, rest quickly," and "Overcome the sun, conquer the rain," to ensure the best project quality and complete the project by June 2026.

As of now, the total progress of the four main construction packages stands at 47.2%, exceeding the contract value by approximately 0.3%. Specifically, package 42 has achieved 42.06% of the target; package 43 has reached 45.69%, surpassing the contract by about 0.15%; package 44 has completed 57.52%, exceeding by about 1.01%; and package 45 has reached 45.02%, exceeding the target by 0.11%.
